This unique wine comes from the stunning Wannamaker Vineyard located on the Washington side of the Columbia Gorge AVA. It is 91% Pinot Noir and 9% Syrah. How did this come about you may ask? As Derek was topping barrels in 2022, he ended up topping a few with the left-over Syrah, these barrels were originally intended to go into a large blend. That was until he tried them and, much to his surprise, they were his favorite out of the bunch! Well, you can't simply blend away your favorites, so here we are producing a unique blend of Pinot Noir and Syrah. Think all the lovely nuances of Pinot Noir with the weight, heavier fruit profile and hints of tobacco of a Syrah. Seriously, you have to try it!

This sparkling wine is dedicated to Justina's mother's heritage, Juhlia means celebrate in Finnish, and is named for the good time it provides. Created to be your 'every night' bubbles, think Cava meets Prosecco with a Patton Valley twist. Our 2024 Juhlia Brut is a sparkling blend of Riesling, Pinot Blanc and Pinot Gris. This wine is ethereal, effervescent, and a celebration in a glass. Kippis (cheers)!

There’s really nothing like this wine. Every year the subtle nuance is like a siren call. Strawberry patch, bing cherry, kefir lime zest, melon and tangerine all dance and sing in a crisp chorus of freshness, and wild vibrancy. There’s never enough wine in a single bottle to pick out all of the detail, unfortunately, and so we persist.

More than almost any other variety, great Riesling is expressive of the vineyard it was grown in. Planted in 1983, this old vine Riesling is sourced from Namaste Vineyards in the Van Duzer AVA. It was fermeneted and aged in a stoneware amphora, preserving freshness while showcasing the distinct character of its terroir. This dry Riesling jumps out of the glass with crisp green apple, pear, lime, jasmine and subtle touch of honey. Bright acidity dances across the palate reminding me of the perfect fall day. 

Queen Bee is back! 66% Gamay Noir, 18% Pinot Noir, and 16% Syrah this wine is all freshness on the nose with toasted herbs, bing cherry, and black pepper. The palate is spicy, with lots of red berries and pithy citrus peel. An elegant roundness coats the tongue, with energetic tannins, and bright acidity lending vibrancy to this young wine. This wine is fresh with tons of energy, the kind of wine that tastes equally great next to a steak on a cold Spring day or chilled, right out of the cooler on the back porch this summer.

As always, this wine speaks to both our love for rustic but polished Pinot Noir as well as our commitment to working with growers who farm sustainable. Each year, this wine tells the story of the vintage while highlighting the unique growing conditions across the Willamette Valley. Responsible farming, native yeast ferments and the gentle handling of hand-picked fruit, enables us to produce wines with a sense of place, while protecting the land for today and generation to come. This single vineyard Pinot Noir comes from the beautiful Eola Springs Vineyard located in the Eola-Amity AVA. Predominantly Wadenwsil clone with a touch of Coury, these unique clones result in a traditional Oregon Pinot Noir. A lighter style bounces with bright acidity, bramble fruits, and the desired hints of Oregon forest floor.

From our namesake vineyard, our 2022 West Block brings us right back to the good old days. It comes from the most western block at Patton Valley Vineyard and is defined by its exposure to the afternoon sun and warmer temperatures. This special wine illustrates the impact of aspect on Pinot Noir, resulting in wines with structure, depth and power.

The Lorna-Marie Pinot Noir bottling represents the very best and most complex three barrels of any given vintage. Named for the mothers of two of our original owners, the Lorna-Marie is an annual tribute to their beauty, grace, perseverance, strength, and magic. The nose has floral elements like rose, spices like nutmeg and clove, with vanilla bean and candied mushrooms, but a deep, underlying thread of cherry, raspberry, and a swirl of whipped cream on those fruits in a pie. The fruit opens to a textural tension that is exciting, and the notes from spice, earth, and bakery kind of pepper the event with histrionic shouts and huzzahs, causing you to grasp around for what you were thinking about. A second sip reveals more of the same, and more depth, too, with the whole thing weaving itself into a frustratingly delicious experience for those dead set on deconstructing the wine. For those of you more inclined to have a good sit in your favorite chair, pop off your hush puppies, pour a big glass, and take it all in, this wine will provide you with occasion after occasion of beguiling repose for an easy 7-15 years.

Old vine Syrah from the stunning Smith-Cernie vineyard located in Columbia Valley AVA. This Syrah captures all the nuances of a powerful Syrah starting off with hints of blackberry, plum, black pepper, tobacco and subtle earthiness, however, it ends with a brightness and a pop of acidity that leaves your palate craving more.
