2023 Queen Bee Red Wine
1% of all profits from our 2022 Queen Bee Pinot Noir will be donated to Bee Girl
Queen Bee has a new look this year! In 2023 we made a Sparkling Gamay (to be released soon!) and instead of wasting the hard press juice from that wine, we decided to blend it in with our Queen Bee barrels. Not only did this result in zero waste, but it created our favorite Queen Bee to date. 55% Gamay Noir and 45% Pinot Noir, this wine is all freshness on the nose with provincial herbs, bing cherry, and black pepper. The palate is spicy, with lots of red berries and pithy citrus peel. An elegant roundness coats the tongue, with energetic tannins, and bright acidity lending vibrancy to this young wine. Unlikely to happen again, savor this vintage while you have it!
1% of all sales from our Queen Bee wine will be donated to Bee Girl! Bee Girl is a local non-profit whose mission is to educate and inspire communities to conserve bees, their flowers, and our countryside. Organization founder, Sarah “Bee Girl” Red-Laird, leads a team to show kids, beekeepers, and farmers how to love their bees through classes, events, summer camps, and habitat projects. The team engages with communities across the nation, and the globe, spreading knowledge and bringing a sense of wonder from the hive to the people. Their current education and research projects are: Kids and Bees, Regenerative Bee Pasture, The ODOT Pollinator Project, and Bee Friendly Vineyards.
