Wild cherry, graphite pencil, English tea, fresh fig, cigar box, sarsaparilla. Broad-shouldered, and elegant, this is both powerful and beautiful.

This is a pure expression of Pinot Noir. With all of the coiled energy of a high-tension wire, this wine is powerful and reserved with blackberry, crème brûlée, bergamot, cherry and stone. This will develop slowly, rewarding the patient, and delighting those drinkers that seek bright, mysterious, and complex wines.

Both bold and taut, the wine is charged with tension, grace, and depth. It's back and with limited remaining, the 2015 Estate is a true show-stopper. The nose is abundant and lively with red and purple fruit, a bit of classic oak spice and earth, and cola. The first sip is juicy and bright, with complexity developing into a layered, and lovely palate. The balance between fine tannin, fruit, acidity and quiet power is compelling. Even, nuanced, and yet surprisingly forward, this is a wine that will suit both the impatient and the thrifty.

Ah, 10 Acre. The Chambolle-Musigny of the West. Always the most graceful expression of Patton Valley, with wild red fruit on the nose like Rainier cherry, and Hood strawberries (the taste of the mountains!), and fresh pine. The palate is fine layers of fruit, dusty tannin, nervy acidity, and fresh herbs throughout, lingering for an age. Easily, will steadily improve for the next decade.

LIMITED CASES REMAINING!

The nose here is brilliantly red fruited, with layer upon layer of subtle spice, bright floral notes, herbs, and stone. Its not all poetry and pageantry, though, and my first impression of the wine was simply, “oh that’s goooood.” A fair assessment, and sometimes that it all one requires. Further tastes show fine tannin throughout, a juicy, vibrant mouthfeel that is very likeable, and deft, long-developing layers of fruit that reveal themselves severally. I really loved this wine at cellar temperature.
